Coming down the backstretch on the final lap (202), Kevin Harvick pushed his Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet for all it was worth. Entering Turn three, Harvick had his sights set on the leader. Ryan Newman in his No. 12 Alltel Dodge brings home his first Daytona 500 victory at the 50th running of The Great American Race. It is also the first Daytona 500 victory for The Captain Roger Penske, getting the Penske organization off to a stellar start for the 2008 Sprint Cup.
