Austin Dillon, grandson of NASCAR team owner Richard Childress, brings the No. 3 back to NASCAR competition as he moves up to the Camping World East Series with sponsor Garage Equipment Supply. The predominantly black car with silver and red accents has the unmistakable stylized No. 3 on the doors and roof that is sure to grab any race fanÆs attention. Although only 17 years old, Austin has already spent a lifetime in garages and at race tracks following his father and grandfather around the NASCAR circuit. Starting out in Bendoleros and Legends competition, Dillon showed early on that he could wheel a racecar. Last year Dillon progressed to Dirt Late Models and with three wins, including the Allstar Challenge in front of his hometown crowd at LoweÆs Motor Speedway, he proved his talent runs deep. Expect big things from Dillon in 2008 as he competes full time in the NASCAR Grand National Division, Camping World East Series for veteran team owner Andy Santerre and sponsor Garage Equipment Supply.
